Commission Approves Law Enforcement Friendly Budget
On Monday the Platte County Commission unanimously approved the County's 2022 budget and I was there to support a "yes" vote on a budget that, as Presiding Commissioner Ron Schieber said, "allows us to support Public Safety, which I believe is the number one priority for our county residents...". Ron, I agree with you 100%.
May 4, 2020 Commission Orders Health Dept Penalties to Require Commission Approval
On May 4th, 2020, the Platte County Commission signed an Order requiring all Health Department penalties to be approved by the Commission. While the binding effect of this action was in doubt, most in attendance were enthusiastically supportive and were encouraged by the Commission's stand against the Health Department's seemingly unreasonable actions.
