Hi, my name is Scott Fricker. I’m a freedom loving, limited government, conservative who believes in God-given rights and individual liberties, and I’m running for Platte County Presiding Commissioner.
My wife Kelly and I and our 2 sons, Will and Luke, have lived in Platte County for over 16 years.
I’ve run a successful commercial real estate business for over 20 years.
And over the past few years, I’ve served on the Platte County Industrial Development Authority Board, the Platte County Board of Equalization, and the Platte County CARES Act Small Business Advisory Committee.
Throughout this campaign and during my four-year term as Presiding Commissioner, I’ll focus on these three conservative principles:
With a strong local economy, low taxes, and law enforcement that actually enforces the law, Platte County is headed in the right direction. Vote for me in November, and I’ll make sure we keep it that way.
My name is Scott Fricker, and "I Work For You".
I grew up in Northern California and attended the University of California at Davis where I earned a degree in Agricultural and Managerial Economics and I’ve owned a successful commercial real estate business for over 20 years.
My Dad was a highly decorated Marine Corps officer and a veteran of the Korean and Viet Nam wars. And my Mom, a William & Mary graduate, postponed her professional life to stay home and raise her two sons. But my brother and I went away to college, she became a business reporter and best selling author. My brother Glenn is happily married with two sons and is a general contractor in my home town of Sebastopol, California.
While I’m a life-long Republican and have always been interested in politics, I’ve never run for public office. But I've learned a lot over the past couple of years how important local government can be. So it’s time for me to make a real difference in my community, and it’s time for me to run. Just know that as your Platte County Presiding Commissioner, I will be the same conservative Republican I’ve always been.
I think of myself as an economic conservative, because I believe that a strong local economy is the engine that drives prosperity, funds good schools, and allows for safe communities. To that end I support small businesses, family farmers, and the hard working folks that grease that engine.
I believe in limited government and fiscal responsibility, because that allows Platte County taxpayers to keep as much of their own money as possible. I believe in strong and well-funded law enforcement, and I’ll defend your civil liberties whenever possible.
